The COVID-19 PANDEMIC has impacted the World and has affecting daily life in North Carolina, All residents who are non-essential are required to remain in doors, wash your hands.
The impact of the COVID-19 Virus on the country can be slowed by practicing social distancing and staying 6 feet away from others whom you come in contact with! We at the Cornerstone CDC are working to fine resources to assist our seniors, veterans, disabled and those in need! Please stay connected for updates. Fisrt of all, thank you for your time today and the willingness to partner together to support the needs of our community. There is no group in the world that I would rather work with than those of you who volunteer and work tirelessly to aid in the recovery of Duplin County and the counties and people of North Carolina.
New hours of operation to be posted for COVID-19 support services!
The Cornerstone Distribution Center will be open on Saturday, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Our hours moving forward will be Monday Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m-12:00 pm and from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Also on Saturdays from 9:00 am -12:00 pm only
We have four departments within the current recovery structure:
Receiving, Staging, Distribution, and Administration.
Receiving will be headed up by Ray Knowles and will be responsible for scheduling and unloading of all incoming supplies. His team has a loading dock, pallet jacks and forklifts so we are prepared to unload and supplies sent to us
Resource Coordination will consist of sorting through and then placing all the supplies that come in, to ensure they are in the correct categorized section.
Distribution teams will be headed by Jamael Moore and his team will handle the handing out of supplies and also assisting in loading it into cars.
Administration Team will be headed -up by Stephanie Klawuhn and will be in charge of collecting and managing all data for volunteers and people we serve
Emotion Support: Two others major ares of service we provided will be prayer and counseling and crowd control and safety. Any clergy or capable leaders who are available to pray with those needing pray and emotional support will be stationed near the exit of the Cornerstone LTRG distribution locations
We have 2-3 volunteers working the parking lot and a few others assisting with crowd control in line and at the door.
If you have ANY people willing to help please ask them to be at the center by 9:00 am in the morning and to check-in with Stephanie or hear team.
The Cornerstone CDC LTRG weekly conference call is Wednesday,
